Can I use a 24 VDC Battery tender like the 022-0158-1 on two 12 volt batteries wired in series to get 24 VDC? I have a 24 volt motor on on a small pontoon boat that is not used much. I use a 12 VDC Battery on a antique car in my garage and it works great.

      Hi Larry,

Technically you can do that, but to be honest, that setup will probably shorten each battery’s life due to the imbalance of the charge. You would be much better off buying a second charger or using a 2-bank charger which is a common marine practice to charge your batteries. Sorry for the delay in response. -Mark
